The Everest Base Camp Trek is famous around the world, as it offers a world-class trekking trail, heading straight up to the mother of earth i.e. Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain at 8,848 m. When doing the Everest Base Camp trek, you will be flying from Kathmandu to Lukla, the airport in the Everest region, landing amidst mountains. The closer you get to Everest Base Camp, the higher the altitude you take on, and the more mountainous the landscape gets.

The scenery on this trek is extremely rewarding, and despite it being tough and challenging at times, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you are likely to remember for the rest of your life.

Leaving the airport in Lukla, the trek starts, and we will spend the first night in Phakding. On the second day we will trek to Namche Bazar, the capital of the Everest region. Here, at an altitude of 3,400 meters, we will take one rest day to acclimatize properly. This also gives us a chance to explore Namche and make an excursion to a great viewpoint, getting the first view of Mount Everest.

From Namche Bazaar, we trek through high altitudes and chilly weather. As the Everest Base Camp Trek continues we will  reach Tyangboche Monastery, which is located at an altitude of 3,867 m. This monastery resides on the top of a ridge. It provides the first divine view of Sagarmatha, which Mount Everest is called by the local inhabitants of the Everest region.

From here, we move towards our destination, following the villages of Imja Khola, Pangboche, and Pheriche, finally reaching the vast Khumbu glacier. Beyond this glacier we reach the village of Lobuche, where we can rest for some time and admire the exquisite natural surroundings. Soon you will be atop the great viewpoint of Kala Patthar at an altitude of 5,600 meters. You will also stand face to face with mountaineers preparing to ascend Mt. Everest at Everest Base Camp.

Planning your Everest Base Camp Trek is easier when you know the costs upfront. The cost of the Everest Base Camp Trek depends on the size of your group. We offer discounted rates for larger groups, making this iconic Himalayan adventure more affordable for families, friends, and organized trekking groups. Everest Base Camp / Kala pathar Trek .

I had an excellent experience doing Everest base camp. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. My guide Chamar was very experienced, informative and made everything super easy for me along the way. He is a great guide that turned into a good friend by the end of the tour. Gokul was able to change things around to make it more convenient for me and was able to help with any questions I had. Definitely recommend booking with these guys as the service and experience was top quality.

Also thanks to Gokul for accommodating my requests & for making this trip smooth sailing from start to finish. Lastly, thanks to the staff of Kathmandu Suite Home for their amazing hospitality.

      Wonderful Trip

It was one of the most beautiful trips in my life. Perfectly organized, I left earlier than planned due to the weather, which was perfect throughout the entire trek - thanks to my guide who suggested it! Excellent communication before and during the hike. Thank you for bringing me to ECB - it was great! I would do it again! I recommend.
