Jomsom Muktinath Trekking initiates as you arrive at the scenic lake city of Pokhara taking a scenic drive from capital city of Kathmandu. Initially we will be driving to Nayapul which is the starting point of the trek. Following the popular trails of Ghorepani Poonhill trekking with majestic sunrise views from Poonhill we head towards Tatopani for taking a natural hotspring that it is believed to wash out all our sins and sadness. After getting reenergized Jomsom Muktinath Trekking leads us towards Ghasa , small village famous for local apple products, apple pie, apple brandy etc. It calls for a sip. Then we tight our shoe laces and get ready for a bit challenging trekking route towards Kagbeni which is also known as the gateway to Upper Mustang Zone. Moving ahead, there are many temples and monasteries around famous pilgrimages site of Muktinath that resembles the Hindu and Buddhists followers living in peace and harmony with Himalayan culture and lifestyle. At final days of our Jomsom Muktinath trekking, we visit mountain museum at Jomsom and take a short flight back to Pokhara that ends our fabulous trekking in Nepal trip. Jomsom Muktinath Trekking can be joined any time of the year, but the spring and autumn seasons are marked as best ones with clear mountain views avoiding rain and other obstacles.

Trip Itinerary
01Day

    We will drive to Pokhara after having breakfast. The drive will be scenic and offer us beautiful views of green hills, rivers, and several small settlements. Upon reaching Pokhara, we will move to our hotel and rest for a few hours. Later in the evening, we will visit famous Lakeside and do boating on the Phewa Lake. We will end our day with a delicious dinner. Overnight in the hotel. 

    02Day

       We will drive to Nayapul. The drive will be around one and a half hour long. After reaching Nayapul, we will begin our trek towards Tikhedhunga. Traversing high above the river on a stone paved trail we will reach Birethanti. From here, we will go through a bamboo forest and waterfall and reach a small village Sudami. Further, we will ascend all the way up to Tikhedhunga. 

      03Day

         We will cross a suspension bridge over the Tikhedhunga River and further cross the Bhurungdi Khola on a large bridge (1,520 m). Then, we will ascend through the stone staircase and continue trekking to reach Ulleri. From here, we ascend through cultivated land and trek along the side of a river. Going through rhododendron and oak forest, we will ascend and reach Ghorepani where we are going to stay for a night.

        04Day

           We will wake up early in the morning and go on an excursion to Poon Hill. Upon reaching Poon Hill, we will see gorgeous sunrise with the backdrop of the Himalayas like Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Mt. Nilgiri, Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), and many more. 
          After watching the sunrise, we will trek back to Ghorepani and begin trekking towards Tatopani after having breakfast. We will descend steeply through the dense forest of rhododendron and moss. Passing through small villages, we will walk along the side of Ghaja Khola and reach Tatopani.

          05Day

             We will begin trekking along the side of Kaligandaki River and ascend slowly with the shift into subtropical vegetation. Further, we will cross a thrilling suspension bridge and trek to reach Ghasa. We will stay overnight in the Ghasa.

            06Day

               We will begin our trek to Tukche. Following the Kali Gandaki in the north, we will trek along with the stunning views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri, and Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m). Further, we will trek along the river bed and reach the rugged section. Crossing a high suspension bridge and forest of juniper, cypress & fir, we will reach Tukche.

              07Day

                 We will begin ascending to north towards Kagbeni above the Kali Gandaki River, the deepest gorge of the world. The region is windy so we will trek slowly and carefully. We will pass Ekle Bhatti village and continue to trek to Kagbeni. We will see amazing views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Mt. Nilgiri, and Tukuche Peaks.

                08Day

                   After getting our permit checked, we will trek onwards to the river bank of Kaligandaki upstream. The trail will be scenic. We will ascend steeply to join the trail to Khingar and further, ascend through the desert area to reach Muktinath. We will stay overnight in the Muktinath.

                  09Day

                     Today is our rest day at Muktinath. Muktinath is one of the holiest sites of the Hindus. Every year hundreds of pilgrims visit Muktinath to worship. We will explore the area and visit the temple. We will also visit the water spouts before paying a visit to a Buddhist monastery nearby

                    10Day

                       We will trek back to Jomsom today. The trail will be same as before, and on the way, we will go through ancient caves. The trail will offer breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and take us to Jomsom where we are going to stay for a night.

                      11Day

                         After having the breakfast, we will fly back to Pokhara. The flight will be scenic, and upon reaching Pokhara, we will move to our hotel. Later in the afternoon, we will go on the sightseeing tour to famous sites like David's Falls, Mahendra Cave, and many more. We will stay overnight in the hotel.

                        12Day

                           Today, we will drive back to Kathmandu re-tracing the same route as we came Pokhara. We will see beautiful views of landscapes along our way to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will move to our hotel and rest of the day is free for us to rest and explore on our own.

                            Absolutamente recomendable

                            Contactamos por casualidad con la agencia, pero fue lo mejor que nos pudo pasar. Hicimos cuartos excursiones con ellos, culturales sobre todo y un trekking. El responsable, Gokul, nos organizo las actividades según nuestras circunstancias y habla un castellano perfecto. Todos los días nos escribía por whatsapp para saber cómo había ido la salida y el último día incluso se presentó a primera hora de la mañana para despedirnos, un detalle que no es habitual, y eso que hemos viajado mucho por medio mundo. Los guías son todos geniales, muy simpáticos. Es una agencia mas que recomendable y si volvemos a Nepal no lo dudaremos en contactar con ellos. Hay muchas agencias pero el trato que nos dieron fue inigualable. De hecho, no hay mas que mirar que todas las opiniones que tienen son excelentes. Por algo sera.
