This whole tour truly covers up a lot of grounds as we ride from Pokhara to Muktinath to Lomanthang along with many scenic views of the glorious mountains, valleys, monasteries and villages. The tour simply tries to capture the beauty of exploring and discovering the hidden treasures offered while riding up to the corners of Mustang Region.
Ride into the deep dark orifices of Nepal, charting a route through the upper Mustang Region and generally ride roads and tracks that have never been traversed by man or woman on motorcycle before. The Royal Enfield Upper Mustang Tour takes you through a journey of barren moonscape of eroded sandstone pillars and intermittent moraine terraces. We commence the start of your tour with a ride to Pokhara on the third day while heading to Tatopani the very next day. Tatopani means ‘Hot Water’ or ‘Hot Spring’ and derived from hot springs bubbling on the banks of Kali Gandaki Valley. We now go to Muktinath, one of the highlights of our tour via Jomsom. Muktinath Temple is the one of the most historical, Hindu/ Buddhist religious and pilgrim’s destination in Nepal. Now we move towards Lomanthang by passing through Kagbeni and Ghami. Thousand years old monastery, the city wall and the four storey palace lie in Lomanthang which we will be able explore for ourselves. There are caves, local tribes and breathtaking views of mountains like Nilgiri, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri which makes the ride up to Lomanthang more appealing. The route traverses through as diverse topography as worlds deepest gorge in Kali Gandaki to world’s highest regions of Lo- Manthang Valley.
Now as the finale of our tour comes near we ride back down to Pokhara via Kagbeni and Tatopani. And then on wards we leave from Pokhara to return back to Kathmandu.
